{"id":30688,"date":"2025-05-31T18:13:10","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T01:13:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/kids-hitting-home-the-message\/"},"modified":"2025-05-31T18:13:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T01:13:10","slug":"kids-hitting-home-the-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/kids-hitting-home-the-message\/","title":{"rendered":"Kids hitting home the message"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>TORONTO \u2014 What does safety mean through the eyes of a child?<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Construction Safety Week Kids Art Contest hosted by Gillam Group is a showcase of what today\u2019s youth are thinking when it comes to jobsite safety and its importance. <br \/>The contest was open to the children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews of Gillam team members under the age of 12.<\/p>\n<p>While all the submissions were excellent, Gillam reports two illustrations really stood out to the judges. <\/p>\n<p>The winner was 10-year-old Jakobi L., who drew a comic strip illustrating a struck-by incident on the jobsite. Gabriella G. and Emma T., both nine, placed second with their creation, Set a Safety Example, which featured a PPE checklist.
