<\/p>\n \u201cThe concept dates back to 2013. We built an app that could show the same image on two smartphones simultaneously. \ninitial idea, Sessio Software came about in December 2015. It started to
\ndevelop applications for audiovisual collaboration.<\/p>\n
\n2017, Sessio\u2019s team won the first price at Ultrahack. The jurors praised the team\u2019s
\ninnovativeness and \u201cout of the box\u201d thinking.<\/p>\nHow to Make a Contract in Under
\n30 Seconds<\/h2>\n
\nand maintenance require a lot of paper work, albeit it can be digital. It takes
\ntime away from productive work. In fact, around 70% of a construction worker\u2019s
\ntime does not add value. Any solution that can ease communication, make
\ninformation quickly available, and reduce errors has a huge ROI in
\nconstruction.<\/p>\n
\nbefore I met with Tomas, he had experienced first-hand the power of video
\ncontracts. He wanted to have two redundant buzzers removed from their office\u2019s
\nfront door and one moved to another place. With Vontract, Sessio\u2019s phone app,
\nthe whole process with the contractor took less than a minute.<\/p>\n
\nto demonstrate to me how easy it was. We role played that Tomas would want me
\nto move a monitor from one wall to another in the conference room.<\/p>\n
\nthe app and explained that we\u2019re agreeing on an alteration job. He snapped a
\npicture of the wall and drew a line around the monitor. He, then, took another
\nsnapshot of the wall where the monitor was to be installed, drew a rectangle of
\nits placement, and scribbled the height of the monitor\u2019s bottom from the floor.
\nFinally, we added our headshots with the app and signed on the screen \u2013 all
\nthis took less than 30 seconds. The app sent me an SMS that contained a link to
\nthe video contract.<\/p>\nA Useful Tool for
\nConstruction<\/h2>\n
\nitself is versatile. You can use it for all sorts of collaborative situations,
\neven if the parties are not physically in the same place. However, we\u2019ve
\ndecided to zero in on contracts at this point,\u201d says Tomas. He\u2019s an architect
\nand, therefore, especially interested in construction-related applications.<\/p>\n
\nintuitive app like this has many potential uses on a construction site. The
\nclient, contractors, construction managers, and designers can quickly communicate
\ntheir requirements and instructions as micro-agreements. Suppliers can use a
\nvideo to negotiate a deal and turn it into a proposal.<\/p>\n
\nto professional users, the app could prove handy for consumers who order small
\nrepair jobs. There\u2019s little room for error when both parties show and tell what
\nthey\u2019re agreeing on.<\/p>\n
\nfinal result is a video in a cloud service, you can place its URL in an email
\nmessage, in a digital document, or on a page in an online contract portal. The
\nvideo itself can be the contract or it can act as an appendix to it. Sessio has

A Future Standard?<\/h2>\n
\nthe videos are made on a single smartphone. The original idea of synchronized
\nvideo communication between two phones lives on. Sessio will be implementing the
\ntechnology in the app\u2019s future versions.<\/p>\n
\nhas filed a patent application for their solution. There are existing patents
\nthat augment written contracts with videos, but nothing exactly like Sessio\u2019s
\nsolution has come up during the process.<\/p>\n
\nthinks that, one day, the ability to make contracts their way will be part of
\nthe phone standard. Fortunately, we don\u2019t have to wait for that to happen as we
\nalready have a working solution.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
