(Photo courtesy of Giatec)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Digital concrete technology platform Giatec has announced a strategic minority investment from specialty chemicals company Sika AG as the two companies aim to revolutionize concrete construction through smart testing technologies and real-time collection and analysis of concrete data, from production and delivery to placement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ottawa-based Giatec expects the investment to help accelerate global adoption of its advanced concrete technologies, equipping concrete experts everywhere with the tools to enhance concrete quality, improve durability and promote sustainability throughout the concrete lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cPartnering with Sika aligns perfectly with Giatec\u2019s vision of transforming the concrete industry through digital innovation,\u201d said Pouria Ghods, CEO and co-founder of Giatec. \u201cWith Sika\u2019s global reach and deep industry expertise, this partnership will enable us to expand further into European and international markets, empowering more concrete producers and contractors with the data-driven insights needed to improve efficiency and reduce the industry\u2019s carbon footprint.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis partnership is a significant step toward the future of smart construction,\u201d added Ivo Schaedler, head of construction at Sika. \u201cBy leveraging Giatec\u2019s advanced digital technologies, we are providing the construction industry with unparalleled data-driven insights that improve sustainability and performance.
