Construction at\u00a0The Residences at Central Park<\/a> is now visibly transforming the skyline around Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East in North York, with the rising Phase 1 tower clearly emerging in views from around the area. Designed by\u00a0Core Architects<\/a> for\u00a0Amexon Development Corporation<\/a>, the 31-storey tower has now passed the halfway point. Since UrbanToronto\u2019s update\u00a0last month<\/a>, a fourth crane is now active on the site, with Phase 1 (centre tower in the rendering below) and early work on Phase 2 (the three towers on the right) all progressing.<\/p>\n In this late May, 2025 view looking north from Highway 401, Phase 1 has climbed to the 17th floor, with formwork underway on the 18th storey at the tower\u2019s east end. The south elevation now features floor-to-ceiling glazing up to the 11th floor, with partial installation reaching the 12th. In front of it. a crane for Phase 2 is visible.\u00a0<\/p>\n Looking west across the East Don River, The Residences at Central Park continue to rise above the ravine-edge setting, with the newly installed third crane supporting ongoing Phase 2 work. The rising Phase 1 tower\u2019s east elevation reveals the construction hoist fixed near the northeast corner, while its glazing system trails the poured concrete structure by six floors, currently up to the 12th storey. This view gives us insight into the development\u2019s integration with the surrounding natural landscape, where slope restoration, riprap reinforcement, and future trail connections are planned to safeguard and strengthen the East Don Parkland interface.<\/p>\n In this distant June, 2025 view looking southwest from a nearby neighbourhood, three cranes now rise above the treetops to the left of the Phase 1 crane. That trio of cranes help deliver Phase 2’s two 31-storey towers and one 19-storey tower, all rising from atop a shared podium with 35,000 ft\u00b2 of retail at ground level. The new buildings will be linked to Phase 1 via an underground passage, creating access to amenities across the 12-acre masterplanned community.\u00a0<\/p>\n Spanning 12 acres to the northwest of Leslie Street and Sheppard Avenue East, The Residences at Central Park is a transit-oriented, masterplanned community. Internal roads and pedestrian-friendly pathways, such as Green Trail Road, will thread through the site, with underground connections linking buildings and parking areas across phases. Future phases also include the repurposing of the current sales centre into an exciting event venue.\u00a0<\/p>\n The development will ultimately deliver five residential towers ranging from 12 to 31 storeys, rising to a maximum height of 105.9m, organized around a three-acre central park known as Park Common.
