Just over a year since\u00a0UrbanToronto\u2019s last update on\u00a0Concord Canada House<\/a> in May, 2024<\/a>, construction is now approaching completion. The final phase of the Concord CityPlace neighbourhood by\u00a0Concord Adex<\/a>, Canada House rises on the northeast corner of Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard as 64- and 74-storey towers at the western edge of Toronto\u2019s downtown core, neighbouring the Rogers Centre and CN Tower.\u00a0<\/p>\n A signature architectural feature of the towers. designed by\u00a0Arcadis<\/a> is a stylized maple leaf motif, achieved through alternating white and grey aluminum panels between each floor of windows and balcony guards, creating a semi-abstract pattern.<\/p>\n In this west-facing view from September, 2024, the disassembly of the east crane is underway, with a derrick in place on the roof to lower sections to the ground.\u00a0<\/p>\n Captured on New Year\u2019s Eve 2024, this southeast-facing view shows a mast section hooked to a derrick following the disassembly of the crane\u2019s upper components. To the right, the mast of the construction hoist remains in place, while just behind the crane, the boom arm of the building maintenance unit is visible. Portions of the mechanical penthouse remain unglazed, while blue weatherproofing membranes are exposed where cladding materials still need to be applied<\/p>\n In May, 2025, the north elevation fronting Blue Jays Way presented a nearly complete facade, with the glazing systems installed across the towers and podium. The dark podium cladding contrasts with the upper podium levels featuring a curtainwall system enclosing the double-height amenity space with clear glazing. Above, we see sections of the white aluminum balcony panels that form the repeated maple leaf motifs, along with alternatley recessed and cantilevered balconies.<\/p>\n Looking up the west tower, a vertical strip of exposed slab edges and walls marks the former run of the construction hoist. At grade, barriers separate the construction zone from the street. Glazing installation on the ground floor retail frontage is largely complete.<\/p>\n This street-level perspective from the corner of Blue Jays Way and Navy Wharf Court highlights ongoing podium work at the base of the east tower. Multiple sections remain incomplete, temporarily sealed with plywood panels, particularly along the east elevation to the left, while steel framing for canopies awaits glazing in places above future retail entrances.\u00a0<\/p>\n This northwest-facing view captures Concord Canada House in near-final form, with both towers glazed and the distinctive maple leaf motif legibly aligned across the facades from this vantage point. The nine-storey podium anchors the base with a continuous glass frontage, while a cantilevered volume on the southeast corner extends the outdoor amenity terrace out over the sidewalk below. An orange mobile hydraulic crane is in use at the corner of Bremner Boulevard and Navy Wharf Court to replace traffic lights.<\/p>\n Occupancy of the towers is anticipated to begin soon. Rising 202.97m and 231.97m in height, the towers will deliver 1,397 residential units in total. When complete, the maple leaves are meant to be illuminated at nighttime, while the lounges at the top of the towers will also glow from behind their glass skins.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
