Humber Polytechnic has launched the Project Coordinator for Construction (PCC) micro-credential in partnership with CourseCompare and in collaboration with Pomerleau. The training program is designed to address a critical skills gap in Canada\u2019s construction sector while supporting the country\u2019s urgent housing and infrastructure goals.<\/p>\n
Designed around real-world demands, the 16-hour course prepares learners will the skills needed as a project coordinator. The course combines technical instruction with simulations led by experienced industry professionals, and is supported by CourseCompare\u2019s education platform, which integrates labour market mapping, high-intent audience targeting and a data-driven recruitment strategy to connect organizations and learners with in-demand training opportunities.<\/p>\n
\u201cCanada faces a once-in-a-generation building challenge,\u201d said Frank Cappadocia, dean of Continuous Professional Learning at Humber Polytechnic. \u201cTo restore housing affordability and deliver the infrastructure Canadians need, we must train the right people for the right jobs. This program provides a fast, practical, and scalable solution that\u2019s been built with the sector, for the sector.\u201d<\/p>\n
To equip the sector with actionable insights, CourseCompare produced a strategic insights report based on interviews with construction leaders from Pomerleau, Orion Construction and industry groups like Building Transformations and BuildForce Canada, highlighting the core competencies for project coordinators in Canada.<\/p>\n

Available on demand to employers looking to upskill new hires or help team members transition into coordination roles, the program is delivered in a flexible, hybrid format to minimize disruption and maximize site impact.<\/p>\n
While exact pricing for the course is determined on a partner-by-partner basis, based on the size and number of cohorts an organization looks to register, tuition for a group of up to 12 learners is estimated at $7,999 CAD.<\/p>\n
