The site in Toronto\u2019s Harbourfront area has been completely razed, clearing the way for\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/q-tower.42469\" target=\"_blank\">Q Tower<\/a>, a 59-storey condominium\u00a0designed by\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/wallman-architects.8072\" target=\"_blank\">Wallman Architects<\/a> for\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/lifetime-developments.7757\" target=\"_blank\">Lifetime Developments<\/a> and\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/diamond-corp.7697\" target=\"_blank\">Diamond Corp<\/a>. Marketing for Q Tower began in 2023, and closure of the 1980s-built garage followed in 2024, with work to clear it starting at the end of that year. A mobile crane\u2019s telescopic boom, equipped with a yellow spreader beam assembly, positions rigging cables for hoisting the beam, previously spanning between support columns. This allows for controlled detachment without compromising adjacent structural elements. One stairwell is fully intact at the southwest corner near the right side of the image, with two further to the left near the east end. The mural nods to other Moebius artworks that will adorn public spaces in the Q Tower. Next to 007, a yellow spreader beam, suspended from a mobile crane, is being manoeuvred into position above construction crews atop the uppermost slab of the still-intact garage section, standing seven storeys. All three elevator\/stairwell cores have been removed, leaving behind a graded site with compacted fill and scattered stockpiles of crushed concrete and rebar.
