UrbanToronto last provided an update on\u00a0Metro Park Condos<\/a> in\u00a0August, 2023<\/a>, just ahead of crane installation. Now, nearly two years later, the 37-storey tower designed by\u00a0Kirkor Architects Planners<\/a> for\u00a0DBS Developments<\/a> and\u00a0Preston Group<\/a> is on the cusp of topping off in Toronto\u2019s Flemingdon Park neighbourhood. Rising at 25 St Dennis Drive, it is near the future\u00a0Don Valley<\/a> and\u00a0Flemingdon Park<\/a> stations on the\u00a0Ontario Line 3<\/a>, with the former\u00a0an interchange<\/a> with the upcoming\u00a0Eglinton Line 5<\/a>.<\/p>\n Seen below in July, 2024, a grid of PERI Skydeck and yellow shoring posts support work on the first floors. Rebar projects from the ground-floor slab where new walls will rise, and formwork materials are staged for upcoming assembly. The crane, installed the previous fall, rises overhead.<\/p>\n By late October, 2024, Metro Condos stood nine levels tall, with formwork and edge protection in place for the 10th floor. We see the transition from podium to tower with a step-back at the 7th floor, where a parapet wall delineates the podium roofline. A system of projecting concrete slabs defines future balconies on the lower levels. On the left, the hoist shaft and mast structure have been installed along the east elevation, while above, the crane\u2019s hook block hovers above active forming.<\/p>\n In this distant view looking northeast in March, 2025, formwork is visible for the 23rd floor, with the red concrete boom pump positioned to the left of the crane. Below, the six-storey podium is clad in white panels.<\/p>\n In May, 2025, cladding installation continues on the base. This close-up reveals black aluminum-framed glazing, mullions, and mechanical louvres, with contrasting vertical grey accent strips flanking the projecting balconies on the east elevation. Several of the lower balcony edges have been finished with white cladding, while soffits remain exposed, awaiting enclosure. Above, a stack of four glazed levels climbs the tower\u2019s northeast corner.<\/p>\n Seen below at 31 storeys tall, this north-facing view captures continued cladding progress, with dark spandrel panels and glazing now climbing five storeys on the tower\u2019s northeast corner and four on the northwest. Vertical bands of dark grey cladding rise centrally up the tower to the 20th floor. Additional white and black cladding panels are partially installed between them.<\/p>\n This month, formwork and decking are in place for the 37th and final residential floor. Glazing installation has progressed steadily, reaching the 19th floor with partial coverage on the 20th, while white and charcoal-grey cladding panels now define the facade up to the 25th floor. The building\u2019s final form is beginning to emerge, revealing offset balcony slabs, central dark vertical columns, and asymmetrical massing with varied balcony projections.<\/p>\n Standing 123.4m tall, the tower will deliver 404 condominium units as the first phase of a broader infill plan. Still to come are a 12-storey mid-rise building at the north end of the site and two blocks of 3-storey townhomes, collectively adding another 148 homes.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
