{"id":31210,"date":"2025-07-05T19:34:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-06T02:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ontario-advances-on-several-long-term-care-projects-across-the-province\/"},"modified":"2025-07-05T19:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-06T02:34:07","slug":"ontario-advances-on-several-long-term-care-projects-across-the-province","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/ontario-advances-on-several-long-term-care-projects-across-the-province\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario advances on several long-term care projects across the province"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>STONEY CREEK, ONT. \u2014 More than 500 beds are being added across the province as Ontario announces progress on several long-term care home projects.<\/p>\n<p>In Stoney Creek, construction is underway to redevelop the Pine Villa Care Centre, a 224-bed long-term care home.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new centre will be four-storeys and feature seven Resident Home Areas (RHAs), which includes dining and activity areas, lounges and bedrooms.\u00a0The home\u2019s amenities feature fitness activities, arts, creative programming such as music therapy and horticulture, multi-faith services, volunteer opportunities, pet therapy, access to computers, library services and educational workshops.<\/p>\n<p>Pine Villa Care Centre is expected to welcome its first residents in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Construction is also getting started on a new 160-bed long-term care home in Prince Edward County.<\/p>\n<p>It will be designed to create a more intimate and familiar living space for residents through the use of private spaces, resident home areas and communal activities. There will be special services for nursing and personal care, food and diet, recreation, therapeutic and spiritual care, a release reads.<\/p>\n<p>Amenities include a hair salon, lounge, gallery, outdoor gardens and an exterior walking path complete with sitting areas. The home is expected to be complete in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, the newly developed peopleCare Tavistock long-term care home recently opened its doors, adding 128 new and redeveloped long-term care beds to the community.<\/p>\n<p>It\u00a0is also designed around RHAs that create more intimate and familiar living spaces for up to 32 residents each.
