The surrounding area includes low-rise residential uses with pockets of employment and retail. A preliminary submission was made to the City in November, 2023, with a pre-application public consultation held in January, 2024. Feedback from City staff and the office of Ward 9 Councillor Alejandra Bravo informed revisions to height and massing. Now in mid-2025, KFA Architects + Planners have submitted a full Zoning By-law Amendment application to the City on behalf of the developer.

<imgx class="image-display_default" src="https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/07/59024/59024-186243.jpg" data-entity-uuid="insert-display_default-e1f5f66b-f0ac-4355-b7df-72632846ec7f" data-entity-type="file" alt="1492 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto" title="Looking west along St Clair Avenue to the current site (right), image from submission to City of Toronto" onclick="photo('https://cdn.skyrisecities.com/sites/default/files/images/articles/2025/07/59024/59024-186243.jpg', true, 'Looking west along St Clair Avenue to the current site (right), image from submission to City of Toronto'); return false;">Looking west along St Clair Avenue to the current site (right), image from submission to City of Toronto

The proposal seeks to redevelop the corner lot with an 18-storey mixed-use building reaching a height of 58.25m.
