Over the past few years, Toronto, and a number of other Great Lakes ports, have become cruise ship destinations, mostly thanks to Viking Cruises and their ships Polaris (partially hidden at left) and Octantis (partially hidden at right). As captured in a rare instance by UrbanToronto Forum contributor globalexpress<\/a>, Viking Octantis waits to dock as its sister ship Polaris pulls away from Toronto’s cruise terminal near the foot of Cherry Street.
