The approved projects range in height from a 12-storey infill to a 63-storey tower and introduce new public amenities, including a 1,000m\u00b2 park at Spadina Avenue and Adelaide Street West.<\/p>\n<p><span roboto=\"\" light=\"\" verdana=\"\" helvetica=\"\" arial=\"\" sans-serif=\"\">Here&#8217;s a closer look at what was approved:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Downtown &amp; Parkdale<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/101-spadina-avenue.27007\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>101 Spadina Avenue<\/strong><\/a><br \/>City Council has approved an increase in the height and density of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/101-spadina-avenue.27007\" target=\"_blank\">101 Spadina<\/a>, previously \u00a0approved at 39 storeys and now approved at 50. Designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/icon-architects.8007\" target=\"_blank\">Icon Architects<\/a> for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/taheri-development-inc.49977\" target=\"_blank\">Taheri Development<\/a>, the building would rise 41.14m and include condominium units, rental replacement housing, and ground-floor retail. The building would rise 72.25m with 247 residential units. The tower would rise 135.65m with 427 units, including 8 rental replacement units, up from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/news\/2024\/08\/39-storeys-proposed-near-fairbank-station-eglinton-line-5.56716\" target=\"_blank\">134.35m and 423 units<\/a>. The 43-storey mixed-use tower, designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/graziani-corazza-architects.7998\" target=\"_blank\">Graziani + Corazza Architects<\/a> for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/altree-developments.35393\" target=\"_blank\">Altree Developments<\/a>, would rise 146.37m with 559 residential units, including 15 rental replacement units and 6 affordable rentals.
