Wirtgen V\u00f6gele unveiled the battery-powered MINI 500e and the MINI 502e electric pavers. With an electrically heated screed, a range of paving widths, and zero-emission operations, they\u2019re paving a greener, cleaner path.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Co-developed by Wirtgen V\u00f6gele and Italian road equipment manufacturer C. M. S.r.l., the new electric battery-powered mini pavers will allow contractors to bid on construction projects that are subject to even the strictest noise and emission limits \u2013 but the company is quick to point out that they are capable enough to serve on conventional job sites.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThese pavers excel on small-scale construction projects and jobs covering a small area \u2013 the type of work for which paving crews would not previously have been able to use machines,\u201d reads the official Wirtgen V\u00f6gele copy. \u201cThanks to their elimination of manual labor, among other benefits, the new MINI pavers improve the efficiency and quality of asphalt paving, particularly in the construction of sidewalks and drains, as well as in tight downtown locations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The new Wirtgen MINI 502e (the one with wheels) and the MINI 500e (the one with crawler tracks) offer pave widths from 0.25 to 1.8 m, have a battery-electric drive with an output of 22.8 kW (30 hp), and the option of either a 15 kWh or 22 kWh 48V li-ion battery \u2013 sufficient battery capacity for up to 16 hours of extended paving. Both models can be charged to full capacity on a standard 110\/120 \u201cL1\u201d power outlet in around eight hours.<\/span><\/p>\n The battery-powered mini pavers models come equipped with the battery-electric E-Power drive. These locally operated pavers have zero emissions and very minimal noise. This makes them ideal for critical deployment \u2013 in historical town centres, for example.<\/span><\/p>\n E-Power pavers also allow contractors to submit tenders for building projects with strict emissions specifications. This is becoming the case in more and more markets and in more and more construction projects. Together with the Hamm CompactLine tandem rollers, also battery-electric, the MINI 500e and the MINI 502e create a sustainable production system.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
