Phil McKinney<\/strong> is an award winning innovator of technologies and products used by 100\u2019s of millions of\u00a0consumers and businesses worldwide. Phil\u00a0has been credited with forming and leading multiple teams that FastCompany<\/strong> and\u00a0BusinessWeek<\/strong> list as one of the \u201c50 Most Innovative\u201d. His recognition includes Vanity Fair<\/strong> naming him the \u201cThe Innovation Guru\u201d, MSNBC<\/strong> and Fox\u00a0Business<\/strong> calling him \u201cThe Gadget Guy\u201d and the San Jose Mercury News<\/strong> dubbing him the \u201cchief\u00a0seer\u201d.<\/p>\n Phil shares his rule-breaking approach to innovation and creativity in his book Beyond The\u00a0Obvious<\/a><\/strong>. Phil and his wife donate 100% of the author royalties to charities such as Hacking\u00a0Autism.<\/p>\n Phil is the CEO of CableLabs<\/strong>, the non-profit research & development lab funded by the global\u00a0cable industry. CableLabs is the \u201cBell Labs\u201d of the cable industry. He joined CableLabs after\u00a0retiring as CTO at Hewlett-Packard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n While at HP, McKinney created the Innovation Program Office<\/strong> (IPO). The IPO was\/is chartered\u00a0to identify, incubate and launch adjacent and fundamentally new technologies, products and\u00a0services that will become the future growth engines for HP.
