The $7 million preconstruction contract supports current collaboration with LA Metro on project design and construction planning.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The overall project will create \u201crun-through tracks\u201d on an elevated rail yard to increase the station\u2019s capacity by up to 200%, improve transit connectivity, accommodate Amtrak and Metrolink service and prepare the corridor for future high-speed rail service, according to the news release.
