The first phase towers of Pinnacle Lakeside<\/a> are now climbing steadily above grade in Toronto’s East Bayfront area, their curving forms now beginning to take shape. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects<\/a> for Pinnacle International<\/a>, the three-building development will rise to 15, 44, and 54 storeys at the southwest corner of Lake Shore Boulevard East and Sherbourne Street, bringing a mix of residential and commercial uses directly across from Sherbourne Common.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto\u2019s last update was in April, 2025<\/a>. We begin catching up in this eastward view from June, 2025, when the podium structure was then well established at grade. The east crane and the jib of the west crane can be seen over the footprint. Concrete walls and columns are rising on the eastern edge, while bundled rebar cages and formwork assemblies dominate the central and western portions. A distinctive circular concrete structure is visible toward the south side of the site, set among the grid of rebar and formwork. Just to the right of centre in the image, earthworks and staging materials line the corridor of the new east\u2013west street eventually to take shape along the building\u2019s southern edge.<\/p>\n By mid-July 2025, two distinct building footprints can be seen advancing in tandem. Along the north side to the left, the 15-storey Gardiner-facing building has reached four completed levels, with the fifth floor slab being worked on. To its right in the middle ground, the 44-storey tower is beginning to emerge, where cast-in-place perimeter walls outline the structure and fresh rebar cages and formwork panels are visible. Behind it, completing an L-shape with the Garidner building, the 55-storey tower is just a floor above ground as well.<\/p>\n In August, 2025, this northwest view from Queens Quay East shows the 54-storey tower has reached its third level. To the left, the 15-storey building has eight storeys finished and slab formwork staged for the ninth<\/p>\n This month, the 54-storey tower at Pinnacle Lakeside has reached its third floor, with slab formwork set in place for the fourth level. From this closer vantage point, the building\u2019s defining geometry is visible in the angled perimeter columns, wrapped in protective white weatherproofing as they rise through the decking. Temporary shoring line the lower levels with forms still in place.<\/p>\n A broader northeasterly view shows the development advancing across its full footprint. On the left, the Gardiner-facing building has risen nine levels, with slab formwork and shoring posts visible through each tier and the tenth floor already half-formed at its east end. To the right, the 54-storey component continues to climb, its early podium levels reinforced by dense shoring. Two cranes frame the site on either side, while a blue concrete boom pump stands between them. Not much is yet going on with the 44-storey tower.<\/p>\n When complete, the first phase will stand from 57.95m to 174.86m in height and add 1,261 condominium units to the East Bayfront neighbourhood.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on these developments, but in the meantime, you can learn more about them from our Database files, linked below.
