TORONTO \u2013 Development firm The Daniels Corporation<\/a> has announced a series of executive appointments and the creation of a chief construction officer as a way to position the company for resilience and growth, it says.<\/p>\n Jacob Cohen has been appointed president after serving as chief operating officer for the past five years. He has been with the company for 20 years, states a release, and will continue to oversee the company\u2019s day-to-day operations and lead the growth of its new home community portfolio, while expanding development and construction management services to meet the demand for purpose-built rental, seniors, student and affordable housing.<\/p>\n Mitchell Cohen, who has served as both president and chief executive officer for four decades, will remain CEO.<\/p>\n Other announcements include:<\/p>\n \u201cI am deeply honored to take on the role of president and help shape the company\u2019s next era of growth and innovation,\u201d said Jacob Cohen in a statement. \u201cThese appointments reflect our commitment to nurturing internal talent and strengthening leadership as we embrace new opportunities.
