The high-rises designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/bdp-quadrangle.8043\" target=\"_blank\">BDP Quadrangle<\/a> would be within walking distance of the upcoming <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/eglinton-line-5-go-mount-dennis-station-emsf.17820\" target=\"_blank\">Mount Dennis station<\/a> on <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/eglinton-line-5.47725\" target=\"_blank\">Eglinton Line 5,<\/a> falling inside its Protected Major Transit Station Area. Each lot is presently occupied by a one- or two-storey detached dwelling. The plan calls for a six-storey podium anchoring towers standing 135.1m and 141.1m. In total, the project would deliver 61,903m\u00b2 of residential Gross Floor Area at a Floor Space Index of 16.58 times coverage of the 3,827m\u00b2 lot. Compared with the earlier pre-application concept, the current design has been refined to reduce bulk through step-backs and height tiering while maintaining the same overall density and tower count.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A total of 3,404m\u00b2 of amenity space is planned, split between 1,902m\u00b2 indoors and 1,502m\u00b2 outdoors, located on the ground and seventh floors, along with outdoor terraces on each rooftop. The ground-level amenity would span a double-height volume fronting Brownville Avenue and adjoining the POPS (Privately-Owned Publicly-accessible Space). The station will link to GO\u2019s Kitchener line and the UP Express, offering direct service to Union Station and Pearson Airport, while also connecting with multiple TTC bus routes. To the east, seven towers are proposed at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/25-photography-drive.45943\" target=\"_blank\">25 Photography Drive<\/a>, rising between 20 and 45 storeys. Southeast, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/955-weston.46712\" target=\"_blank\">955 Weston Road<\/a> is seeking heights of 24 and 34 storeys. Just northwest, construction is underway on the 37-storey <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/dennis.41211\" target=\"_blank\">Dennis<\/a>, while nearby proposals include 35 storeys at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/9-oxford.47304\" target=\"_blank\">9 Oxford<\/a>, 46 storeys at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/1151-weston-road.58960\" target=\"_blank\">1151 Weston Road<\/a>, 48 storeys at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/15-hollis.45655\" target=\"_blank\">15 Hollis<\/a>, and a pair of 38- and 48-storey towers at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/1175-weston-road-17-locust-street.55130\" target=\"_blank\">1175 Weston Road &amp; 17 Locust Street<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
