Over two years<\/a> after shoring work first got underway, the four towers of Notting Hill Condominiums<\/a> have now risen into the skyline of Etobicoke’s Westmount neighbourhood, along the north side of Eglinton Avenue West at Royal York Road. Designed by Arcadis<\/a> for Lanterra Developments<\/a>, it features a pair of podium-linked blocks, with the west block rising 27- and 29-storeys, and the east block 21- and 27-storeys.<\/p>\n Above, an up-to-date shot of the complex from late September, 2025 captures an east-facing view of the towers rising with most floors now clad, along with a red brick base. Looking back a few months though, below, in May 2025, the base sported gray brick-patterned precast panelling as cladding, with limestone-coloured framing of alternating window bays for articulation. Glazing and balcony guardrails are in place on several levels. At grade, the ground floor curtainwall is partially installed behind construction fencing.<\/p>\n A drone view in June, 2025 shows all four towers advancing at once, with the east block on the right climbing with its central-east tower around 13 storeys and the east tower near 8 storeys. Both of the west block\u2019s towers display cladding installed more than halfway up their facades, with lighter precast panels and brickwork, while glazing is visible on the lower left for nine floors of the west tower.<\/p>\n From a July, 2025 drone view looking south, the east block\u2019s podium frames the towers with a U-shaped massing, its two projecting eight-storey wings approaching the older apartment blocks to the north. The east tower has now risen to about nine storeys, while the central-east tower stands near sixteen, with active formwork in place at their uppermost levels. For the west block, the concrete mechanical penthouse of the 27-storey tower is partially formed, with formwork at the roof of the tallest tower.<\/p>\n Looking west earlier this month, the tallest 29-storey tower\u2019s mechanical penthouse is now largely formed in bare concrete, while forming continues on the adjoining 27-storey tower\u2019s penthouse structure at the far west end. At the base of the west block, red staining can now be seen on the gray precast, changing the look dramatically, and contrasting with the still-dark, unstained brick sections of the east block podium. Both bases feature a step-back at the fifth floor, transitioning into two connecting podium levels. Along the south elevations of the west towers, white precast panels are installed nearly to the top along with glazing, with just a few levels remaining incomplete. To the right, the east block\u2019s towers continue their climb, standing at approximately 15 and 22 storeys.<\/p>\n Renderings of the completed blocks, below, show the extent of the precast sections that will be stained, bringing colour to the complex. The complex will be walking distance from Royal York-Eglinton station on the Eglinton Line 5 West Extension, now under construction and targeted to open around 2030.\u00a0<\/p>\n When complete, the four buildings will range from 75m to 98.5m in height and deliver a combined 1,367 units to the area.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
