Construction at Camrost-Felcorp<\/a>\u2019s Exchange District Condos<\/a>, designed by Arcadis<\/a>, has reached another milestone in Mississauga City Centre with the removal of two cranes above two of the towers recently, leaving just one crane still active across the final and tallest-to-be tower at the four-tower complex. UrbanToronto last provided an update in May, 2025<\/a>, when the early stages of glazing installation brought a bright burst of magenta to the Mississauga skyline just south of Square One Shopping Centre. Now, another crown is being clad with coloured glazing.<\/p>\n Jumping back to June, 2025, below, this southeast-facing view of the mixed-use community captures three cranes still reigning over the complex. Exchange District is composed of: the 60-storey EX1 topped with a magenta crown to the east (back-right); the 42-storey EX2 (to be capped in yellow) to the north (back-left); the completed 30-storey EXS to the south (front-right); and the one which is to be the tallest of the bunch, the rising EX3 to the west (front-left), which will eventually feature a blue crown above its 72 storeys.<\/p>\n Looking northeast in July 2025, below, EX1 is seen topped off with its magenta panels now defining the tower\u2019s mechanical penthouse. The image captures the dismantling of EX1’s crane, with a derrick staged on the rooftop to lower mast sections and swing components safely to grade. The crane’s peak has already been removed, leaving the mast and jib. Below, the construction hoist still clings to the southwest elevation, slowing cladding installation on the uppermost of the building’s stacked boxes.\u00a0<\/p>\n By August, 2025, EX2 behind on the left, had structurally topped out and had begun to receive its yellow mechanical penthouse cladding, with panels enclosing the lower portion of the angled crown. In front of it, EX3 continues its climb, assisted by a red concrete boom pump to the left of its crane. To the right, EXS stands finished with its prominent \u201cEXCHANGE\u201d signage across the podium. That building is made up of luxury rental suites, and a two-storey, 26-suite boutique hotel.<\/p>\n Looking northwest along ‘The Exchange,’ the new bouding road to the west of the complex in late August, 2025, work continues on the podium frontages. EXS rises to the left with its completed residential floors above, while the construction hoist for EX1 remains active at right. The podium is clad in alternating black spandrel and vision glass panels, with ground-floor glazing installed for future retail units. Streetscape work is advanced, with new pavers in place. Temporary fencing, scaffolds, and material bins mark out the remaining areas under construction.<\/p>\n Looking southeast, below, at the end of August, EX3 had risen to roughly its 28th floor, with its stacked-box design akin to EX1 beginning to take shape above the five-storey podium. The first cantilevered box features black cladding panels already installed across much of this elevation. At grade, the podium features a curved overhanging concrete slab supported by columns wrapped in weatherproofing, while staged formwork at right marks out the future pathway connection to the development\u2019s central green space.\u00a0<\/p>\n Catching back up to this month, in mid-September EX2 was captured during the dismantling of its crane, with the jib and counter-jib already removed and only the mast left in place for final takedown. The yellow glazing that wraps the tower\u2019s mechanical penthouse is now nearly fully installed, framing the angled box above the residential floors. EX1\u2019s distinctive stacked-box facade (with a sliver of its magenta crown visible) rises to the left.<\/p>\n Once complete, the towers will stand between EXS’s 96m and EX3’s 232m, with EX3 set to become one of Mississauga\u2019s tallest buildings, surpassed recently by the 260.29m-tall M3<\/a>, under-construction at M City<\/a>.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
