The release of InfraBIM requirements took place at Dipoli in Otaniemi.<span id=\"more-4153\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The development of the guidelines has been a cross-disciplinary venture. The resulting documents are to be used as general technical references and modeling guidelines during procurement and construction. They cover the following topics (freely translated from Finnish):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0model based project<\/li>\n<li>General requirements<\/li>\n<li>Requirements on initial information<\/li>\n<li>The infra model and modeling during the design process<\/li>\n<li>Structural models (three categories)<\/li>\n<li>Quality management of the infra model<\/li>\n<li>Quantity takeoffs, cost calculation<\/li>\n<li>Visualization<\/li>\n<li>Utilization of the infra model during design, construction, use, and maintenance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The guidelines, together with\u00a0the Inframodel 3 data exchange format and the InfraBIM Classification System form a BIM triad.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/aec-business.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/infraBIM-triad.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4154 size-full lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/aec-business.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/infraBIM-triad.jpg\" alt=\"infraBIM-triad\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-4154 size-full lazyload\" src=\"https:\/\/aec-business.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/infraBIM-triad.jpg\" alt=\"infraBIM-triad\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aec-business.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/infraBIM-triad.jpg 800w, https:\/\/aec-business.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/infraBIM-triad-640x360.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>BuildingSMART Finland\u2019s infrastructure business group, together with a team\u00a0of financiers, will collect feedback and update the guidelines accordingly.\u00a0More information on the guidelines is available from <strong>Mr. Juha Liukas<\/strong>, Chairman of the group (juha.liukas(at)sito.fi).<\/p>\n<p>The guidelines will be available in English soon.
