I browsed through a couple of dozen engineering firm websites recently. These were companies\u00a0with\u00a0a turnover between 10 and 20 million dollars. To my surprise, many had a website that looked like something from the 1990s.<\/p>\n

The sites were not just visually unimaginative. They were like obligatory printed brochures converted into a\u00a0website; not very engaging or enthralling. I guess the reason behind the poor performance is that the companies don\u2019t think they can get much value from investing in their web presence. However, many research results support the notion\u00a0that clients, job seekers, potential partners, and the media use company websites\u00a0as a major\u00a0source of information.<\/p>\n

I started to think about the lost opportunities the firms with outdated websites might have. Based on these thoughts we made a\u00a0quick\u00a0infographic of a 10 point list of reasons why an AEC company should consider refreshing their Web presence.<\/p>\n
