In a city that sometimes appears to have been drained of colour by the majority of recent developments, when colour does show up again, especially in a bold way, it’s hard not to stare! At a development beside Danforth GO station dubbed Rushden Station<\/a>, Fitzrovia Real Estate<\/a> is bringing a spectrum of tones to Toronto\u2019s East End. UrbanToronto\u2019s last update was just two months ago in September, 2025<\/a> when the first panels of green and red cladding began appearing on the complex’s exterior, but as the three towers of 29, 37, and 39 storeys continue to rise, there’s already quite a bit more to see at the bKL Architecture<\/a>-designed project.<\/p>\n Looking north across the park in early October, 2025, above, the west tower, now standing at roughly 25 of its 29 storeys, features green window wall panels installed on several floors above the base levels. At the centre, the 39-storey tower was at 20 storeys, with five levels of red-hued window wall cladding enclosing its lower floors. Between the two, a shared podium section capped at 10 storeys exhibits a three-storey run of blue-tinted window wall. To the east, the third 37-storey tower rises nine storeys, with concrete walls and rebar in place for the 10th floor.<\/p>\n A couple weeks later, above, slender vertical fins in alternating hues \u2014 seen closer-up, below \u2014 create a lively pattern of trim panels across one of the base building’s levels, behind which parking will be hidden. In the image above, crew members can be seen on the third level securing the fin assemblies and backing panels. Above, the base building\u2019s fifth floor features a continuous run of glazing that will wrap an outdoor terrace below the towers.\u00a0<\/p>\n Along the north elevation at the beginning of this month, the east tower has reached 13 storeys, and is now marked by the first application of dark blue window wall. To the right, the middle tower climbs to 24 storeys, with seven floors of red cladding now in place and additional glazing advancing above, while furthest from the camera, the west tower\u2019s green window wall panels extend up to the 17th floor and partially onto the 18th.\u00a0<\/p>\n The same day but the reverse angle looking northeast, the podium\u2019s vertical metal fin system now spans much of the second and third floors, installed in a syncopated rhythm that alternatively rise and fall. Behind the third floor fins are glass instead of the dark gray panels a level below.<\/p>\n Seen looking northeast from Downtown, Rushden Station is adding a vivid presence to the growing East End skyline. The west tower, at left, has reached its 29th storey \u2014 its top residential floor \u2014 as work transitions to the mechanical penthouse, while atop the central tower, its concrete boom pump’s extended arm is positioned to deliver liquid concrete for a pour. Temporary green safety netting is seen on the upper levels for both towers, as the coordinated cranes crown the scene.<\/p>\n At full build-out, Rushden Station will deliver 922 rental units across towers rising 108.25m, 132.20m, and 138.10m.
