Public engagement on the plans is set to begin in spring 2026 as the partnership looks to shape a future vision for the coastal town that blends new jobs, homes and cultural spaces with its maritime heritage.<\/p>\n

Cllr Richard Biggs, cabinet member for property and economic growth, said the work was about \u201cbuilding a future rooted in opportunity, identity, and pride\u201d.<\/p>\n
Willmott Dixon development chief David Atkinson described the move as \u201ca chance to turn Dorset Council\u2019s ambitions into reality\u201d, while Milligan CEO Stuart Harris said the team aimed to \u201ccurate places that blend leisure, culture, heritage and commerce\u201d.<\/p>\n
