Rising ever higher in Toronto\u2019s Church-Wellesley neighbourhood, Yonge at Wellesley Station<\/a> is now three quarters of the way to topping off as work pushes through the last dozen levels of the 46-storey condominium from Plaza<\/a>. UrbanToronto\u2019s previous update in May, 2025<\/a> captured the project shortly after its height increase from 40 storeys was approved, with forming advancing above the three-storey brick-clad podium.<\/p>\n Seen from across Maitland Street in August, 2025, the BDP Quadrangle<\/a>-designed tower had climbed at that point to roughly the 23rd level. A yellow construction hoist is fastened to the west elevation, rising to about the 17th floor. Along the tower\u2019s south face, several storeys of white precast panels were in place, setting up the vertical expression above the recessed fourth-floor reveal. The podium below is largely enclosed with red brick-veneered precast panels, though sections of exposed concrete remain near the hoist. The crane stands over the south end of the building.<\/p>\n A close-up view in September, 2025 shows the red brick-veneered precast panels framing the podium, with openings still awaiting black-framed glazing assemblies. Above the reveal level, to the right of the white cladding, we see two floors of dark glazing alongside black spandrel and louvres. Below, the glazed step-back on the fourth level is visible beneath the white panelling.<\/p>\n In October, 2025, this southeast-facing vantage point shows the white precast cladding on the north elevation now rising eight floors above the podium. Adjacent to this, several levels of dark window-wall units are installed, capped with a strip of blue weatherproofing. Higher up, the concrete boom pump is stationed along the north edge of the roof. At the south end, vertical formwork panels sit clustered near the crane.<\/p>\n Later that month, the west elevation\u2019s external hoist ascended to roughly the 27th floor as the tower continued its climb. Below, the podium shows clear progress towards enclosure: dark glazing with black mullions and louvres is installed across the north end of the ground and second floors, framing the tall retail and lobby openings set within the brick-veneered precast panels. Above the podium, window-wall modules are in place up to the 15th level.<\/p>\n Viewed from Wellesley Street to the northwest, the tower now stands around the 35th floor as it nears the end of forming its final dozen floors. Along the north elevation, white precast panels rise to roughly the 19th level, pairing with completed glazing and spandrel up to the 18th. The west face shows steady enclosure progress too, with window-wall modules extending to the 18th floor and white balcony slabs projecting outwards, still supported by temporary shoring posts.\u00a0<\/p>\n Once complete, the tower will stand 149.1m and bring 572 new condominium units to the area.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
