BAM will put Hamer\u2019s appointment to shareholders at its AGM in May 2026, filling the vacancy created when Paul Sheffield steps down at the end of his term. <\/p>\n
The group\u2019s Central Works Council has already backed the move.<\/p>\n
Hamer brings more than three decades\u2019 leadership experience across construction, infrastructure, consultancy. He spent nearly seven years as chief executive of Sir Robert McAlpine, where he drove a major restructure shifting the business from a regional set-up to a national, sector-based operating model.<\/p>\n
He also previously led engineering consultant WYG for 9 years.<\/p>\n
BAM chairman Henk Rottinghuis said: \u201cI am pleased that we can nominate Paul Hamer as a member of our Board. <\/p>\n
