MISSISSAUGA, ONT. \u2014 Lee Li Holdings Inc. is putting $533 million towards upgrading and expanding its existing plant in order to establish a new bottling and packing facility in Mississauga.<\/p>\n
The current plant is set to expand by 15,000 square feet, followed by construction of a new, 85,000-square-foot facility. The new North American hub will focus on plastic bottle manufacturing for in-demand products like tea, coffee, sparkling water and flavoured water, states a release. The investment will create 275 jobs and the Province of Ontario is providing $90 million in funding through the Invest Ontario Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n As part of this investment, Lee Li is also developing a new white label line for brands that are dedicated to using locally sourced ingredients.<\/p>\n The expanded plant, with the addition of latest-generation equipment, would continue to co-pack juices and dairy-alternative products in gable-top cartons.<\/p>\n Founded in Ontario in 1984, Lee Li began as a meat distributor and wholesale business. It has since grown and now spans food and beverage manufacturing, cold storage, logistics, health care, real estate and mining.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
