Matre will continue to serve as senior vice president while he moves toward his retirement.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Donohue joined Skanska Koch in 2000 as a superintendent on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway project. He has served as a project manager, senior project manager and vice president for the firm. That was the same year that the company, originally named Karl Koch Steel Erecting, was <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usa.skanska.com\/who-we-are\/about-skanska\/our-history\/#:~:text=1982%20%E2%80%93%20Skanska%20first%20acquisition%20in%20the%20US.%20Karl%20Koch%20Erecting%2C%20acquired%20to%20expand%20Skanska%20presence%20in%20the%20Northeast.\" target=\"_blank\"><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>acquired by Skanska<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span><span><span><span><span><span>. Matre became a full-time field engineer in 1983 and rose through the ranks before being named general manager in 2017.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>Over the past 40 years, Matre has been involved in projects including the Benjamin Franklin Bridge orthotropic decking, the first float-in bridge at 207th Street, JFK AirTrain, the 9\/11 recovery and cleanup and the Bayonne Bridge, per the news release.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>While under Matre\u2019s leadership, the company re-entered the Philadelphia market and expanded its business, per the news release.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span><span><span><span><span>The succession plan falls into a pattern of other moves Skanska has made this year.
