Since UrbanToronto\u2019s last update<\/a> at the start of the year, construction at Galleria III<\/a> has advanced into its final phases, with the tower now approaching completion as occupancy draws near. Rising 31 storeys at the southwest corner of Dufferin and Dupont streets in Toronto’s West End, the building is designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects<\/a> for Almadev Inc.<\/a> and forms the next residential component of the Galleria on the Park<\/a> development, which already includes the completed Galleria 01 & 02<\/a> plus the new Wallace Emerson Community Centre<\/a>, currently under-construction.<\/p>\n This close-up from March, 2025 captures the first runs of aluminum panels installed over the insulation, some with protective plastic on them still. The window wall system is largely in place, with dark mullions and louvres, while columns of projecting concrete balcony slabs await cladding.<\/p>\n A high-angle view from June, 2025 shows the tower topped off, the crane gone, and the red mobile crane that was brought in to remove it. Across the west elevation, dark metal cladding is in place up to the 23rd floor, while blue-and-white weatherproofing and exposed insulation panels mark upper levels. It will be demolished once the stores operating inside it have had the opportunity to relocate to the new buildings on the site.<\/p>\n From grade in August, 2025, work at the base is concentrated on completing the podium envelope and its retail frontage. Curtain wall panels are installed across the first two storeys, with blue weatherproofing strips at the slab edge between the ground and second floors. Above, the red-brick podium features projecting concrete balcony slabs, which will be fitted with metal guardrails, visible on the curved third-floor balcony at the rounded corner.<\/p>\n The flatiron-inspired massing is on full display from across the intersection of Dupont and Dufferin. Along the north elevation, insulation panels remain exposed where louvres and final cladding are still to be installed. Above, the residential tower rises with a run of curved concrete balconies at the bullnose.<\/p>\n A November, 2025 view of the north elevation shows the window wall system running continuously up the facade, while aluminum guardrails line the full height of the run of balconies. At the crown, the mechanical penthouse is mostly enclosed, with a remaining open section on the west side.<\/p>\n This month, looking east along Dupont Street, the construction hoist has been fully dismantled from the south elevation, and cladding is now continuous across the building, with a remaining open section at the southwest corner of the mechanical penthouse. Metal balcony railings are installed throughout the residential levels, while glass guardrails line the podium terraces that will serve amenity spaces.\u00a0<\/p>\n Galleria III stands at 112.4m and will deliver 427 residential units.\u00a0<\/p>\n It will be joined in future phases by buildings on Blocks 3 and 4<\/a>, with the full community ultimately comprising eight towers and a total of 3,014 homes.<\/p>\n UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on these developments, but in the meantime, you can learn more about them from our Database files, linked below.
