Designed by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/bdp-quadrangle.8043\" target=\"_blank\">BDP Quadrangle<\/a> for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/companies\/starlight-investments.23729\" target=\"_blank\">Starlight Investments<\/a>, the project would rise within walking distance of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/eglinton-line-5-mount-pleasant-station.9848\" target=\"_blank\">Mount Pleasant station<\/a> on the soon-to-open <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/eglinton-line-5.47725\" target=\"_blank\">Eglinton Line 5<\/a> and within its Protected Major Transit Station Area. The property is currently occupied by The Ambassador, an 11-storey rental apartment building containing 92 units, with surface parking. A podium ranging from one to six storeys would define the Roehampton Avenue frontage. A total of 711 rental units are proposed, including 619 new market-rate units plus 92 rental replacement units to offset the existing supply on site. The unit mix would include 197 studio units, 337 one-bedroom units, 116 two-bedroom units, and 61 units with three or more bedrooms. Bicycle parking provisions include 320 long-term spaces and 73 short-term spaces.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Eglinton station is located about 700m to the west, or a 10-minute walk. Mount Pleasant station on the upcoming Eglinton Line 5 is much closer, approximately 150m south of the site. Immediately north, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/124-136-broadway.46750\" target=\"_blank\">124 &amp; 136 Broadway<\/a> calls for 30 and 36 storeys, while the 37-storey <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/untitled-toronto.28509\" target=\"_blank\">Untitled Toronto<\/a> is under construction. Eastward, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/299-roehampton-avenue.58963\" target=\"_blank\">299 Roehampton<\/a> is planned as a pair of 59-storey towers, while to the west, construction is underway at the 50-storey <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/170-roehampton.48554\" target=\"_blank\">170 Roehampton<\/a>, with nearby proposals at <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/141-roehampton.48728\" target=\"_blank\">141 Roehampton<\/a> reaching 58 storeys and dual 61-storey towers planned for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/150-eglinton-east.30309\" target=\"_blank\">150 Eglinton Avenue East<\/a>.
