Partnerships again proved the engine of the London and Home Counties business, generating \u00a3303m revenue and a near-\u00a39m pre-tax profit as the contractor steered through a tough housing market with a healthy mix of regeneration, remediation and new build work.<\/p>\n
The division spent much of the year in heavy build phase, with the bulk of major completions now scheduled to land in 2026. Rectification spending rose to \u00a37.3m as the business continued to address legacy compliance issues, leaving \u00a33.9m of provisions on the books.<\/p>\n
The wider group continued its steady profit recovery, with pre-tax earnings climbing from \u00a3280,000 to \u00a31.05m in the year to July 2025. <\/p>\n
Cash in bank jumped to \u00a325m from \u00a39m, while total debt fell by \u00a320m to \u00a315m as Higgins Homes sold out all remaining units across its schemes.<\/p>\n
Group chief executive Declan Higgins said: \u201cThe group\u2019s ability to maintain profitability in a difficult market demonstrates the strength of our business and the quality of our development pipeline. By responding effectively to changing conditions, the group has continued to deliver growth.<\/p>\n
