Drivers at leading crane rental company Wolffkran, represented by Unite, have voted to start a series of 24-hour strikes on Tuesday January 27 then every fortnight after that.<\/p>\n
The Enquirer<\/em> understands around 90 drivers are union members at the crane rental giant.<\/p>\n A crane driver source said the dispute centred on a lack of pay rises over the last three years.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cThe drivers feel they aren\u2019t being offered a fair wage for what is a vital job.<\/p>\n \u201cAny strike action would have a major impact because we wouldn\u2019t expect others to cross a picket line.\u201d<\/p>\n The Enquirer<\/em> understands further talks with Wolffkran are due before the first planned strike.<\/p>\n The source said: \u201cStopping work is always a last resort so hopefully a deal can be struck.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n <\/p>\n
