{"id":33901,"date":"2026-01-14T01:32:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:32:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/milton-keynes-plans-76m-events-venue\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T01:32:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T09:32:14","slug":"milton-keynes-plans-76m-events-venue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/milton-keynes-plans-76m-events-venue\/","title":{"rendered":"Milton Keynes plans \u00a376m events venue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"post-504797\">\n\t<!-- .entry-header --><\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The 4,000-capacity venue forms part of MKDP\u2019s updated Business Plan for 2024\u20132027 which focuses on placemaking projects to enhance the city centre.<\/p>\n<p>It will complement ATG\u2019s successful operation of Milton Keynes Theatre since it opened in 1999 by enabling larger-scale music performances and live experiences that the existing theatre cannot accommodate.<\/p>\n<p>The venue will be located adjacent to the recently revitalised Station Square and close to Unity Place, Santander UK\u2019s new \u00a3150 million headquarters and community hub.<\/p>\n<p>MKDP will begin the planning process later this year with construction expected to start soon after and the venue scheduled to open in 2029.<\/p>\n<p>Nicola Sawford, Chair of MKDP, said: \u201cIdentifying ATG as our preferred partner takes us one step closer to delivering a world-class events venue for Milton Keynes.
