RPM International has agreed to acquire Kalzip, a German supplier of aluminium roofing and fa\u00e7ade systems. The deal adds to RPM\u2019s building envelope business and supports demand for lighter construction materials. The RPM Kalzip acquisition also deepens the company\u2019s focus on specification-led construction projects.<\/p>\n

RPM said that Kalzip will become part of its Tremco Construction Products Group. The company expects the deal to strengthen Tremco\u2019s aluminium system offering. Operations in Europe and India will continue. North America is expected to become a new growth area.<\/p>\n

Kalzip is based in Koblenz, Germany. It supplies aluminium systems used in complex buildings. Its products have been used at Barcelona\u2019s El Prat Airport, Berlin\u2019s Mercedes-Benz Arena, and the Ikea project in Dubai. Kalzip reported net sales of EUR 75 million, or about USD 82 million, in 2024.<\/p>\n

The merger with Tremco CPG is aimed at broadening RPM\u2019s building envelope portfolio. This encompasses roofing refurbishment, sealants, waterproofing and external insulation. RPM also sees an opportunity to widen its systems portfolio into new markets through the RPM Kalzip Acquisition.<\/p>\n

The transaction is expected to close by the end of RPM\u2019s 2026 fiscal year. Kalzip\u2019s senior management team will continue to run the business after the deal closes.<\/p>\n

RPM chairman and chief executive Frank C. Sullivan said the acquisition fits well with projects that rely on technical specifications. He cited Kalzip\u2019s experience in system design and performance. The deal reflects a wider move toward lighter materials and integrated envelope systems, as developers focus on durability and long-term building performance.<\/p>\n
