The expanded site now reaches south to 44\u201346 and 50\u201352 Lindner Street to include the to include them in the assembled land. The original Old Weston Road frontage has long been associated with rail-related industrial activity and is currently used for construction industry equipment storage and staging, while the Lindner Street additions at the south end include a two-storey semi-detached dwelling containing six rental units.<\/p>\n<p><imgx class=\"image-display_default\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.skyrisecities.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/articles\/2026\/01\/60193\/60193-192914.jpg\" data-entity-uuid=\"insert-display_default-2588bcef-e225-40d9-ad6e-6ce645036cee\" data-entity-type=\"file\" alt=\"Aerial view, 189 Old Weston Road, Toronto\" title=\"An aerial view of the site and surrounding area, image from submission to City of Toronto\" onclick=\"photo('https:\/\/cdn.skyrisecities.com\/sites\/default\/files\/images\/articles\/2026\/01\/60193\/60193-192914.jpg', true, 'An aerial view of the site and surrounding area, image from submission to City of Toronto'); return false;\"><span class=\"image-description\">An aerial view of the site and surrounding area, image from submission to City of Toronto<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/news\/2021\/10\/limen-proposes-mixed-use-development-near-future-st-clair-west-go.46488\" target=\"_blank\">2021<\/a>, an initial Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment application was filed for a mixed-use redevelopment featuring 8- and 20-storey residential buildings rising from a shared podium, alongside a low-rise non-residential arts and retail building. A resubmission followed in March, 2023, increasing heights to 11 and 27 storeys, enlarging the non-residential component, and reworking the massing to introduce a new public park. In September, 2024, the developer acquired the Lindner Street properties to the south. The associated Zoning By-law Amendment was appealed to the Ontario Land Tribunal in June, 2025, following Council inaction. Two mixed-use towers are proposed atop an 11-storey base building at the south end of the site, rising to a total of 28 storeys and 39 storeys, with an 11-storey residential mid-rise retained to the north, while a standalone 4-storey non-residential building would front Old Weston Road at the northwest corner. Indoor amenities increased markedly from 581m\u00b2 in the original proposal to 1,563m\u00b2. Outdoor amenity space has been reduced from 2,495m\u00b2 to 1,580m\u00b2. Parking would be situated above grade, screened from view in the podium, with 241 vehicular parking spaces, including 198 resident spaces, 41 visitor spaces, and two car-share spaces, a reduction from the 243 spaces proposed in 2021. Bicycle parking has increased substantially, rising from 430 spaces in the original proposal to 804 spaces in the current scheme. Looking ahead, the under construction <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/st-clair-old-weston-go-station.50933\" target=\"_blank\">St Clair\u2013Old Weston GO station<\/a> on the Kitchener GO corridor is located approximately 800m to the north, introducing a higher-order transit connection within walking distance.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Development activity continues in the surroundings. To the southwest, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/junction-sq-condos.27887\" target=\"_blank\">Junction SQ Condos<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/403-keele-street.46709\" target=\"_blank\">403 Keele Street<\/a> are both under construction at 5 and 11 storeys, while the nearby <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/43-junction.45710\" target=\"_blank\">43 Junction<\/a> proposal would introduce six towers ranging from 18 to 35 storeys. Southeast of the site, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/spoke.19578\" target=\"_blank\">The Spoke<\/a> is rising with buildings of 8 and 23 storeys. To the north, a cluster of taller proposals includes <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/290-old-weston-road.43031\" target=\"_blank\">290 Old Weston Road<\/a> at 29 storeys, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/611-keele.44288\" target=\"_blank\">611 Keele<\/a> at 33 storeys, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/juno-residences.15456\" target=\"_blank\">Juno Residences<\/a> with towers of 28 and 35 storeys, and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/urbantoronto.ca\/database\/projects\/1799-st-clair-west.45936\" target=\"_blank\">1799 St Clair West<\/a>, which would deliver three towers ranging from 30 to 45 storeys.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">UrbanToronto will continue to follow progress on this development, but in the meantime, you can learn more about it from our Database file, linked below.
