TORONTO \u2013 Today is\u00a0<\/span>Bell Let\u2019s Talk Day,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Canada\u2019s national day for conversations about mental health awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n This year\u2019s theme is taking a moment for mental health. Whether\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0moment\u00a0for yourself, a moment for a friend or a moment for a co-worker,\u00a0it\u00a0all matters.<\/span><\/p>\n While\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0no secret the construction industry\u00a0hasn\u2019t\u00a0always\u00a0been\u00a0focused on mental health, in recent years the topic has come to the forefront\u00a0with many organizations, unions, companies and the like making it a priority.<\/span><\/p>\n This week alone marks a milestone\u00a0with the\u00a0inaugural B<\/a><\/span>uilding Trades Mental Health Week,\u00a0<\/span>organized by Canada\u2019s Building Trades Unions (CBTU).<\/span><\/p>\n The week was formed to highlight mental health and substance\u00a0use resources that are available to members.<\/span><\/p>\n It follows a\u00a0<\/span>September CBTU report<\/span><\/a>\u00a0that\u00a0sheds light on the unique stressors\u00a0impacting\u00a0tradespeople.<\/span><\/p>\n The Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce cover mental health initiatives,\u00a0reports\u00a0and issues throughout the year,\u00a0identifying\u00a0trends and the strides that continue to be made.<\/span><\/p>\n For Bell\u00a0Let\u2019s\u00a0Talk\u00a0Day\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0compiled a list of some pertinent articles that were published last year, with the hope of helping to further spread awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n Whether onsite, in the office or at home,\u00a0Canadians\u00a0are being\u00a0encouraged to prioritize mental health and give mental health the moment it deserves:<\/span><\/p>\n Check out\u00a0Bell\u2019s\u00a0Tools & Resources<\/a>\u202ffor more information and read the articles below.<\/p>\n\n
