The firm is now a land, property development and home building businesses after selling its contracting arm in a management buyout last September<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The trading update said results for the year to December 31 2025 \u2013 due out in March \u2013 are expected to reach market forecasts of \u00a329.7m of pre-tax profits.<\/p>\n

But this year will be hit by \u201congoing subdued transaction activity and the wider macroeconomic uncertainty.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bottom line will also be hit by the expiry of Boot\u2019s profitable Road Link contract in March which has seen the firm maintain the A69 trunk road between Carlisle and Newcastle for the last 30 years.<\/p>\n

The statement said: \u201cWe entered 2026 with a lower forward sales position across the group, and also, as expected, the expiry of the profitable Road Link contract in March will impact results.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaking these factors into consideration, the Board now expects 2026 profit before tax to be significantly below current market expectations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tim Roberts, Chief Executive Officer, said: \u201cWhile market activity remains subdued, the fundamentals of our three key markets remain compelling, and we are well placed to benefit from the significant opportunities we have been building up within our portfolio, supported by a strong balance sheet and a disciplined approach to investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
