The house builder said this morning it is pressing ahead at pace, shifting decisively from investigation to delivery.<\/p>\n
Its building safety provision fell to \u00a3829m at the half year after \u00a373m was spent on remediation in the six months to December. Crucially, no new issues emerged that required an uplift in the overall estimate.<\/p>\n
Barratt Redrow has now identified 280 buildings in its active building safety portfolio. Of these, 194 are at tender stage, mobilising or already on site \u2014 underlining the scale of live activity now under way.<\/p>\n
Around 95% of the active portfolio has been assessed under Fire Risk Assessment of External Walls guidance and will have an appropriate PAS 9980 assessment in place.<\/p>\n
Separate from cladding and fa\u00e7ade issues, the builder is carrying a \u00a3187m provision for reinforced concrete frame remediation.<\/p>\n
Spend on concrete frame works was limited to \u00a34.4m in the period, with heavier costs expected to land in FY27 and FY28 once detailed structural modelling and non-linear analysis is completed.<\/p>\n
The reinforced concrete frame portfolio covers 165 buildings. Of these, 76 require no remediation, 17 have been completed, 21 remain under review and 51 are progressing through various stages of remediation.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
