Emergency services were called to the Tilia Homes site on Tuesday morning where a new estate is under construction.<\/p>\n
Site sources told the Eastern Daily Press<\/em> that the victim suffered a broken neck when roof trusses fell on him.<\/p>\n The source said. \u201cTrusses fell on him and broke his neck. I am unsure whether they were being delivered using cranes.\u201d<\/p>\n A spokesman for Tilia Homes said the victim had been working for a contractor.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThe site is now closed, pending a thorough investigation by the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n \u201cOur thoughts and deepest condolences are with the individual\u2019s family, friends and colleagues at this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe would like to thank the emergency services for their swift response and professionalism in attending the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n <\/p>\n
