Rising on the south side of Davenport where it bends northwestward from Bedford Road towards Dupont, Alterra Group of Companies<\/a>‘s 9-storey condominium at 321 Davenport Road<\/a> has topped off, with its curved curtainwall glazing mirroring the street’s arc. Designed by Giannone Petricone Associates<\/a>, the building is a major new presence in Toronto\u2019s storied Annexneighbourhood. UrbanToronto last provided an update on the boutique mid-rise in July, 2022<\/a>, when early site activity was just getting underway.<\/p>\n The structure had already topped off back in April, 2025, when the image below caught building envelope installation well underway along the east elevation, much of the first six storeys enclosed by reflective, blue tinted curtainwall glazing. At the northeast corner, a construction hoist rises along the exterior. Glazing has also begun to wrap around the north elevation, where the first three storeys show an installed section.<\/p>\n In May, 2025, the curved southeast corner was taking shape, the glazed curtainwall still rising to just the sixth floor, but showing off the prominent rounded volume. Along the south elevation, crews had begun installing darker metal panel cladding, with vertically oriented panels filling in the fa\u00e7ade bays. Branded hoarding lines the sidewalk along Davenport Road beneath a covered pedestrian walkway.<\/p>\n From across Bedford Road in October, 2025, cladding installation is largely complete. Above the sixth-floor step-back, crews have installed dark aluminum panel cladding across the upper storeys, filling in fa\u00e7ade bays between window openings. Higher up, sections of the concrete remain exposed, including the mechanical penthouse and portions of the seventh and ninth-floor slab edges.<\/p>\n Looking toward the north elevation in November, 2025, we see the project\u2019s stepped massing toward the west providing terraces for residents. Along the north side, a window wall system composed of clear glazing and darker spandrel panels fills the structural bays. Rooftop mechanical areas remain partially exposed above the finished cladding line. At the roof, the arm of a building maintenance unit glistens in the sunlight near the edge.<\/p>\n In early January, 2026, the exterior envelope was largely complete, with the dark aluminum panel cladding now extending across the upper storeys and wrapping the mechanical penthouse at the roof. At the northeast corner, the curved curtainwall remains a defining feature across the lower levels. Minor facade work continues along the south elevation, where a patch of exposed blue weatherproofing is visible above the seventh floor.<\/p>\n A closer view of the Davenport Road frontage this month highlights the building\u2019s layered facade treatment, with the curved lower volume fully enclosed in a curtainwall system across the first six storeys. Above, the fa\u00e7ade transitions to the darker upper cladding. The upper levels follow the building\u2019s gentle arc along Davenport, while stepping back toward the roof.
