OSHAWA, ONT. \u2013 A new mixed-income development designed by Montgomery Sisam<\/a> is on deck for Oshawa, Ont. with work underway.<\/p>\n The 160,000 square foot Christine Crescent redevelopment replaces 12 semi-detached homes with two buildings \u2014 four and six storeys tall, explains a release.<\/p>\n The project delivers 160 new mixed-income rental homes with a mix of one- to four-bedroom units all designed on a six-metre modular grid.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Structurally the buildings use pitched roofs, articulated fa\u00e7ades and light materials to reduce perceived scale and integrate into the neighborhood, a release notes. A new public forecourt and landscaped courtyard connect directly to Chopin Park.<\/p>\n Residents will have access to lounges, party rooms, fitness facilities and rooftop amenities.
