The Riverside Place development will consist of three brick-clad towers rising from 21 storeys to 35 storeys and is set to reshape a key stretch of the Irwell.<\/p>\n

It plans to redevelop a 2.2-acre site on Ordsall Lane and Regent Road \u2013 currently occupied by McDonald\u2019s, KFC and Grosvenor Casino \u2013 into a high-density residential quarter backed by Crescent Investments.<\/p>\n

A two-storey community pavilion will anchor the development, alongside more than 1.5 acres of new public realm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The plans also include improved pedestrian and cycle links to the River Irwell, with landscaped routes, a new ramp and tiered seating reconnecting the site to the waterfront and wider routes towards Salford Quays and Manchester city centre.<\/p>\n

Chief executive Lyndon Forshaw said: \u201cThe final plans submitted are focused on community integration with the existing Ordsall neighbourhood, providing a Community Pavilion at the heart of the scheme.\u201d<\/p>\n

Demolition consent for the existing uses was secured in 2023, clearing the site for redevelopment.<\/p>\n

The scheme is expected to generate over 1,000 construction jobs and \u00a367m in economic value during a three-year build.<\/p>\n

Subject to planning approval, the project will move into procurement, with a contractor expected to be lined up ahead of a potential start on site within the next 12\u201318 months.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
