{"id":35187,"date":"2026-04-26T18:02:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T01:02:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wates-order-book-hits-record-high\/"},"modified":"2026-04-26T18:02:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T01:02:15","slug":"wates-order-book-hits-record-high","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/essential.construction\/news\/wates-order-book-hits-record-high\/","title":{"rendered":"Wates order book hits record high"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The family owned firm saw turnover increase to \u00a32.56bn in 2025 from \u00a32.4bn last time as pre-tax profits rose to \u00a329.2 from \u00a32.6m.<\/p>\n<p>The business also ended the year with a record net cash position of \u00a3248.3m \u2013 up \u00a352.7m.<\/p>\n<p>Wates said it was reaping the dividends of a year of consolidation in 2024 which saw the embedding of property services company Liberty and the Wates Fit Out as well as senior leadership changes in the Wates Construction and Wates Residential operations.<\/p>\n<p>Wates Construction remained profitable in a difficult market as turnover dipped to \u00a31.2bn from \u00a31.3bn.<\/p>\n<p>SES saw its revenue grow significantly to \u00a3590.4m from \u00a3432.7m, as investment in offsite manufacturing and technology reached new scale.<\/p>\n<p>Eoghan O\u2019Lionaird, Chief Executive, Wates Group, said: \u201cOur 2025 results demonstrate the resilience of Wates Group and the strength of our long-term model. Despite ongoing industry headwinds, we have delivered strong, sustainable and profitable growth, underpinned by a record \u00a310bn forward order book and our strongest-ever cash position.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost important of all are the relationships we build.
