OTTAWA \u2014\u00a0Here\u2019s\u00a0a brief look at some of the key numbers in the Liberal government\u2019s 2026 spring economic update:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n $66.9 billion:<\/strong> Projected deficit for 2025-26, $11.5 billion lower than the projection in Budget 2025. The government predicts the annual deficit will decline to $53.2 billion by 2030-31.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n $37.5 billion:<\/strong> Net cost of new measures included in the spring economic update over six years.
