English joins as managing director \u2013 energy infrastructure as M Group ramps up investment in one of its key growth markets.<\/p>\n
He will spearhead the group\u2019s whole-life energy infrastructure offer, targeting complex engineering and utilities work as clients upgrade critical assets and push towards net zero.<\/p>\n
M Group said the division will play a central role in modernising energy networks and integrating new technologies including battery storage, EV infrastructure and solar power.<\/p>\n
English brings a strong track record across infrastructure, utilities and energy in both the UK and Australia.<\/p>\n
He was previously chief operating officer and head of infrastructure at Skanska UK but stepped down in a Skanska board reshuffle last October to pursue other opportunities. <\/p>\n
Before joining Skanska as infrastructure chief two years ago, English led AtkinsR\u00e9alis\u2019 UK transportation division and earlier ran John Holland Group\u2019s national infrastructure business in Australia.<\/p>\n
His career has spanned transport, water, energy, aviation and marine, with M Group looking to use that experience to drive growth and delivery across major programmes.<\/p>\n
