Suspended access systems are common on a construction site, their common name is swing stages or suspended platforms. They are metal platforms that are suspended from cables above, and operate by motors pulling them up and down the corresponding cables along the facade of a building.
Trades that use swing stages include window contractors, painters, window cleaners, caulking contractors and many more. Swing stages have a number of very strict operating requirements that are monitored very heavily by safety organizations.
Because this is high risk, it may be necessary to require workers to complete a work permit prior to accessing the swing stages. This document can provide that sign off for your jobsite.
