Concrete pumps are commong on jobsites, they allow you to reach tough areas that may be inaccessible for placing via bucket or buggy. They also provide alot more flexibility and can increase the rate at which concrete is poured.
A placing boom is essential the end of the concrete pump. It’s a large hose that the concrete comes out of.
Working with the placing boom does require precautions be taken. Priming the pipe with grout and ensuring that no items are around that can be knocked out of place are just some examples.
