Full Description
Post tensioning is a common method to strengthen concrete floor slabs, columns and beams. It offers additional strength and versatility that cannot be matched with rebar.
In order to post tension concrete, large strands are installed in the slab prior to pouring. Once the concrete has been poured and cured the strands are pulled from each end and capped, placing additional tension on the concrete slabs.
This process can be complicated and dangerous.
