We’re running a bit behind on a job and need to get our steel on site. Typically in our industry the tilt up panels go up following the slab on grade, thats then followed by structural steel and roof deck.
Has anyone stood the steel first and cast the panels outside the building? Is this typical?

Yes. You will need to introduce steel columns at the perimeter to pick up the load of the roof steel. These will require footings as well.
You could try putting temporary columns in to support the steel but I’d recommend you discuss with an engineer.
Tricky situation and good luck!
