Are modular construction methods cost-effective?

We’ve been part of a team that builds modular pods as washrooms and puts them in hospitals. The first project was certainly not cost effective but after we worked out the kinks it begins to show its value. One of the benefits is that it removes some of the onsite labour so you have less people to manage on site.
